Library Director Debra Rhodes Gibson is saddened to be making these changes, but recognizes the necessity of doing so. “In the current fiscal environment of tax reform and budget cuts, shifting hours is simply the only way for the Library to continue offering the high quality of materials, programs and services St. Johns County residents expect from their library,” she said. <empty>Now you can sign up for a library account online using this link and clicking on new user. You will get immediate access to our online resources!

When you register online for a library card you will be assigned a temporary numerical id which will remain active for 30 days. You will be able to login with your new account in the library’s catalog to place holds or create booklists.  In addition, using your new library barcode, you will have instant access to all of the Gale and music library’s reference databases.

NOTE: To validate your library card and obtain full library privileges, you will need to bring proof of residency to any branch of the SJCPLS library system. If you have had a library card within the last 3 years, contact your local branch to learn how to all of these great services with your existing card.
