The mission of Library Extension Services is to bring library resources and programming to people who might not be able to visit a library branch. Our two bookmobiles travel around St. Johns County to schools, daycare facilities, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and public stops. We participate in annual events such as Ancient City Kids Day, Feel the Wheels, the St. Augustine Christmas Parade, and more.
This free service, available to all St. Johns County residents, provides home delivery of materials to program participants. Materials may be returned by mail or at any SJCPLS branch library or bookmobile.
Some residents may qualify for Free Matter for the Blind and other Handicapped bags, which means they can mail items back to the library at no cost. Contact us at 827-6944 or firstname.lastname@example.org for further information on the Books-by-Mail program.
Occasionally, our bookmobiles must make adjustments to our posted schedule. If needed, we will post urgent schedule changes here.
2/16/17: Bookmobile patrons planning to visit at the Murabella Publix on Pacetti Road, please be on the lookout for the white minivan from the library.
