Renowned poet, Roselyn Y. Cole, will share her poetry and stories at the Main Library on Friday, April 28, 2-3 p.m. Her readings will include channeled narrative stories and poems about the lives and souls of the enslaved before, during and after their arrivals at Fort Mose in St Augustine.
Rize Cole is an internationally known poet/storyteller who has read her works from myriad places across the globe, from the far flung shores of Lake Titicaca in Peru to the remote villages of Haiti, as well as Bahia ,Brazil, and throughout the Caribbean and the United States, most notably at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Her last venture was to Great Britain to explore Crop Circles, Stonehenge, Glastonbury Tor and other sacred sites in the United Kingdom. Rize’s writings are a tapestry of her life.
