  • Children's FLYP Event: Saltwater Cowgirls

    Bring in the kids for a fun Viva Florida 500 event and dance to the music of St. Augustine’s own Saltwater Cowgirls as they serenade us with music inspired by the ocean and sea creatures. Here they are on YouTube. Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that Summer Reading Programs are geared toward the school-age child. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

     

  • Children's FLYP Event: BATastic, Fabulous Florida Bats

    Thursday, July 11 @ 3pm
    Join bat advocate, Marcia Daniels, as she teaches us about the amazing bats found in our area, and why they need our help. Bats are amazing bug eaters with important roles to play in our local ecosystem. Discover the wonderful world of bats through this interactive family program. View and listen to bats as they emerge from local bat houses. We'll even have a BATastic craft to reminds us bats are our friends. This program is sponsored in partnership with the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County.

  • Summer Family Film Fest

    At Southeast, we're diggin' up the classics. Read these classic stories as a family then come to the library to see the movie. Please note that this is a family event and children must be supervised at all times. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

    Follow the yellow brick road to the wonderful land of Oz with Dorothy and Toto.  You'll be singing and dancing along to this 1939 musical adventure. This movie is rated G. Request the book here.

    Extinction is forever but you can help. Visit with our animal guests and learn from SingleVision how you can protect rare wildlife. Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that FLYP programs are geared toward the school-age child.   • Altered CD Teen Craft

    Library Teen CraftThursday, July 11 @ 3pm
    Teens (Ages 12+), are invited to come to the library to make altered CDs. What?! You'll be able to make cool decorations for your room or even suncatchers out of old recycled CDs. We'll supply all the materials, you just need to show up and use your imagnination to create some original designs. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

     

  • Anastasia Island Book Club

    A fierce competition is underway, a duel between two young circus magicians who have been trained since childhood for this purpose. This is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. All are welcome to join the discussion. Reserve it.
