  • LEGO Club for Tweens

    LegoWednesday, July 17 @4pm
    Tweens ages 9 - 13 (4th-7th graders) are invited to come to the library and bring your friends for an afternoon of fun building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too!

  • Spine Strengthening with Gina Marie

    Spine StrengtheningWednesday, July 17 @ 10:30am
    Strengthening the muscles that support your spine helps keep your back and upper body stable. Keeping these muscles strong can relieve back pain and prevent injuries. This simple workout is specifically designed to stretch and strengthen the back with a mix of dynamic and static stretches. This free class is presented by yoga instructor, Gina Mercado. 

     

  • FLYP Summer Reading Program: Dig In

    Everyone is invited for a fun Viva Florida 500 event. The “Spice Girls” CayANNE (Ms. Anne) and Pepper (Ms. Amy), of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, will present an interactive program in our Ol’ Florida Kitchen as we “Dig In” to stories, songs, and more. Audience participation is guaranteed to get the kids involved. All of our FLYP events this summer will have a Florida flavor in honor Viva Florida 500. This event will take place in the Hastings Recreation Center gym located at 400 E. Harris Street. Please ensure all guests wear rubber-soled shoes.

     

  • Just For Babies

    Join Miss Kristine and Miss Alex every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program. Duffy the Storytime Bear is looking forward to meeting you under the parachute. Older siblings are welcome to stick around for Family Storytime right after.

    We will be "Down on the Farm" this summer. Old MacDonald had a farm EIEIO.  And on his farm he had a...SHEEP.

    Receive a goody bag when you attend Just For Babies for the first time.

    Join Miss Kristine and Miss Alex every Wednesday for a fun-filled hour of stories, songs, and crafts. This program is geared toward a wide range of ages including families with toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children.

  • Summer Reading Program: PB&J Archaeology

    Did you ever wonder how archaeologists find sites? Excavate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to find out. Dig up the past and learn about real tools, fieldwork, and archaeological sites through hands-on activities. This program for school-aged children is sponsored and hosted by the Florida Public Archaeology Network and is part of the Viva Florida 500 celebration.

     

  • Nature Detective Workshops for Kids

    Nature DetectivesWednesday, July 17 @ 2pm and 3:30pm (repeat program)

    Class size is limited so reserve your spot now by calling the Library at 827-6960 or stopping by the Bartram Trail Branch Library Reference Desk. Children ages 6 - 12 ONLY are invited to become Nature Detectives and learn all about lizards and how these pollinators relate to gardening. Each child will receive free gardening goodies, including Nature Detective notebooks, and have fun learning all about our wonderful Florida lizards and how to spot them. These programs are designed by the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants, presented by the Garden Circles, and generously sponsored by the Garden Club of St. Augustine and the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library. These workshops also celebrate Viva Florida 500. Please note: Children under the age of 10 must have a parent or guardian present for the duration of the program.

    Everyone is invited to join us for a fun Viva Florida 500 event. The “Spice Girls”,  CayANNE and Pepper (Ms. Anne and Ms. Amy from our Ponte Vedra Branch), will be here for an interactive program in our Ol’ Florida Kitchen as we “Dig In” to stories, songs, and more. Audience participation is guaranteed to get the kids involved. To ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the program, there will be 95 tickets available 1 hour before the show. Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that Summer Reading Programs are geared toward the school-age child.
