Saturday, August 17 @ 10am Getting published doesn’t guarantee book sales. Author and publisher Rik Feeney says, “95% of the effort [of writing and publishing] is marketing and promoting your book—if you want sales success. Give yourself a head start.” Here are Rik’s keys to bestseller status: a keyword-heavy title, a cover that attracts attention, and a back copy blurb that sells the book. This program is sponsored by the Ancient City Chapter, Florida Writers Association and is presented in partnership with the Friends of the Main Library.
Teens, join us for gaming on the Xbox, PlayStation or Wii, play board games, paint, or just hang out with your friends in a fun, friendly environment. Guitars and a keyboard are available if you feel like getting musical.
Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: It’s time to go back to school, so join us for a school supplies trade. Bring in a folder or notebook to decorate and give away to another teen. Don’t forget to bring artwork to share and your mug and we’ll fill it up with hot chocolate, tea, or decaf coffee, compliments of the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.
Looking for fun for the whole family? Come on in and play Bingo for Books from 2pm to 3pm today. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one free book. Books are generously donated by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.
