  • Teen Gaming Night

    Teens (Age 13-18) are invited to have fun with friends at the library. Play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), Nintendo Wii, and X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Snacks are provided.     Do you have an e-reader, tablet, or other digital device you aren’t sure how to use? Need to learn Facebook, Twitter, or how to navigate Pinterest? Or do you just want to know how to download free eBooks from the library's OverDrive or OneClickdigital services? All of your questions can be answered in a 30 minute, one-on-one session with library staff at the Main Library. Library cardholders can call 827-6940 to make an appointment.

     

  • Creature Feature Marathon

    New Release FilmWednesday, October 2 @ 5pm & 6:30pm
    Halloween is quickly approaching, and movie enthusiasts are invited to join us for a series of a classic Halloween films. The selected movies are geared for an adult audience, with a rating of PG-13 or R. Please call the Main Library at 827-6940 for movie titles and ratings. Enjoy popcorn, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

     

  • Take a S.T.A.N.D Against Bullying with Magician Mark Alan

    This anti-bullying program deals with this serious topic in a fun manner using comedy, magic, ventriloquism, musical routines, and lots of interaction. Help give your kids the tools to take a stand against bullying. This program is intended for elementary-age children, but is fun for all. Please note: This program will be held in the Hastings Recreation Center gym at 400 E. Harris St. Please wear rubber soled shoes.

    Join Miss Kristine and Miss Alex every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler. Formerly Just For Babies; same program, different name. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program. Duffy the Storytime Bear is looking forward to meeting you under the parachute. Older siblings are welcome to stick around for Family Storytime right after.  Plus, receive a goody bag when you attend for the first time!

    This season our theme is colors.  Our color this week is green.  Don't forget to wear something green today!
