  • Celebrate International Games Day with Family Game Time

    Family Board Game NightSaturday, November 16 from 11am - 4pm

    Do you love Family Game Time? The whole family is invited to join us today for a whole day of gaming fun in celebration of International Games Day. Simply go to the Reference Desk, any time between 11am and 4pm, and check out up to two board games to play anywhere in our library using your library card or driver's license. The board games are generously provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

  • International Games Day @ Main Library

    International Games DaySaturday, November 16 @ 2pm
    Celebrate the American Library Association's 6th Annual International Games Day with us. School-age children, tweens, and teens choose what they want to play at the Main Library. A selection of video game choices for X-box 360, PS3, & Wii consoles will be offered. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County and Sony. Fun for the whole family.


  • International Games Day @ Hastings

    Saturday, November 16 @ 1pm
    Connect with your friends and others in your community on International Games Day. Games let us practice strategy, planning, cooperation, and memory skills. But they're also just plain fun. Whether it's on the PS3, Wii, board games, or just plain checkers, we'll have some serious playtime at the Hastings Branch Library.


  • The Knotty Knitters

    Everyone is welcome to join the Southeast Branch's Knitting Club: The Knotty Knitters. All ages and abilities are encouraged to join and instruction can be provided to beginners. Make new friends and learn a new craft.

  • FOLSE Community Conversations with Don Beattie

    Saturday, November 16 @ 2pm

    "The Uncertain Future of Our Nation's Space Program" is the topic of our community conversations. Everyone is invited to hear former NASA Division Director, Don Beattie, discuss the U.S. Space Program and Mars Exploration. The author's books will be available for purchase and signing with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Southeast Library. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Library.

  • International Games Day: Teen Coffeehouse

    Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories...anything. We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others.  Bring your sketchbooks, journals, and your own coffee mug and we'll fill it with decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

    It's International Games Day. Learn to play cribbage, participate in a cribbage tournament, and walk away with your very own deck of cards.


  • Author Book Talk and Signing: The Letter Keeper by Joanne C. Spencer

    Meet author Joanne C. Spencer as she talks about her recently published book, The Letter Keeper. Copies of her book will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own copy for signing. Ms. Spencer will share her motivation to publish the book on her own. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.


  • Family Bingo for Books

    Looking for fun for the whole family? Come in and play Bingo for Books from 2pm to 3pm today. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one free book. Books are generously donated by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.


  • International Games Day Event: Teen Gamers

    Teens, (Grades 6-12) bring your friends and come on out for a couple hours of gaming -- we have Halo, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii, PS3, and x-Box 360 games. We'll be breaking out our newest addition: the Wii U. Refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.



  • Knit Wits Knitting Club for Kids & Teens

    Kids and teens (Age 8-17) are welcome to join our new knitting group, The Knit Wits. Learn to knit or bring in something you’ve already started and knit with the group. Please bring in your own knitting needles, if you have them.



  • Author Event: Ed Trester and the Merchant Marines During World War II

    Saturday, November 16 @ 2pm
    Veteran, author, and musician, Ed Trestor, will share his personal history of joining the Merchant Marines during World War II, as well as share excerpts from his recently published book. Copies will be available for signing.
