  • Storytimes @ Main Library

    Weekly Storytimes @ Main LibraryEvery Thursday in January
    We invite you to join us each week for all the laughs of storytime. We'll share some of our favorite books, sing songs, play music, tell interactive stories, make crafts, and have lots of fun. Themes for January include: Winter, Teddy Bears, Colors, I Love Books!, and Counting.
    Baby Time 10:15am:
    A gentle lapsit program with action rhymes, fingerplays, and first books for babies. For pre-walkers only, please.
    Toddler Time 11am:
    We'll sing, we'll dance, and share our excitement for books and learning at the library. Don't be shy and bring your dancing shoes.
    Preschool Storytime 11:30am:
    "Big Kids" get a storytime of their own, including longer stories, a variety of early literacy concepts, listening, and pre-classroom skills. Perfect for 3-5 year olds.


  • iPad Workshop

    iPad WorkshopThursday, January 30 @ 3pm
    Do you have an iPad but find yourself asking questions such as: What apps would work for me? How do I run updates? Or, does my iPad have a camera? Join David Penney for a hands-on iPad workshop where these questions, and more, will be answered. Bring your iPad and follow along as David goes through most of the capabilities of the iPad, the Apple Cloud, and iTunes synchronization. Library cardholders may call 827-6940 to sign up for this free technology workshop.

     

  • After School Gaming

    After School GamingThursday, January 23 & 30 from 3pm - 5pm
    School-age children, tweens, and teens choose what they want to play after school at the Main Library. A selection of video game choices for X-box 360, PS3, & Wii consoles will be offered. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County & Sony.

     

  • Southeast Book Club: The Round House

    Thursday, January 30 @ 6:45pm

    Everyone is invited to the Southeast Library to discuss Louise Erdrich's latest novel, The Round House. It not only explores what can happen to a family after a brutal attack occurs, but also illustrates how far a son will go to investigate this mystery. New members are always welcome.
