  • Teen Gaming Night

    Teens (Ages 13-18) are invited to have fun with friends at the library. Play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), our new Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo Wii, or X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Snacks are provided. This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and our friends at Sony. Call the library at 827-6950 for more details.

     

  • Brown Bag Lunch - Dr. Dorothy Israel

    Wednesday, February 5 @ 12:30pm
    Dr. Dorothy Israel presents "Revisiting the African American Experience."  As we celebrate 50 years since the passage of the Civil Rights Act, Dr. Israel will share her thoughts on the contributions of African Americans in St. Augustine. She will take her audience on a surprising journey that begins before Africans landed in St. Augustine through to today's experiences that influenced this city that we love. Bring your Brown Bag Lunch and come join us for this special program. Light refreshments will also be served. This program, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is free and open to the public.

  • Little Ones Storytime

    Join Miss Kristine and Miss Alex every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program. Duffy the Storytime Bear is looking forward to meeting you under the parachute. Older siblings are welcome to stick around for Family Storytime right after.

    We'll be learning to count this spring.  Can you count to five?

     

  • Family Storytime

    Join Miss Kristine and Miss Alex every Wednesday for a fun-filled hour of stories, songs, and crafts. This program is geared toward a wide range of ages, including families with toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children.

    Friends are forever. Laugh and giggle with your storytime friends while we read stories about friendship.

     

  • Digital Learning Day: iPad Explore

    “Stay and play” after storytime. In honor of Digital Learning Day, children are invited to explore a variety of age appropriate apps on library iPads while parents get app recommendations and eBook assistance from Miss Kristine and Miss Alex.

     

  • St. Johns Reads Event: Children's Movie Matinee

    Wednesday, February 5 @ 3pm
    Kids of all ages are invited to watch a heart-warming movie, based on the classic novel by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, about a boy and the fawn who becomes his best friend. Snacks are provided; bring your own drinks.

     

  • Teen Volunteer Orientation

    The library is a great place to get your volunteer hours. Orientation is mandatory and counts as your first service hour. Class size is limited; please call the library at 827-6960 for registration information.

     

     

  • Kids & Tweens Make a Crane Mobile (GBBC Event)

    Kids & Tween Crafting EventWednesday, February 5 @ 2:30pm
    We will be making paper crane mobiles!  You'll be able to take them home and hang them up in your house to help celebrate the Great Backyard Bird Count! This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.
