  • Teens Read with Kids

    storytimeSaturday, February 8 from 10am - 12pm
    All children are invited to be read to by a teen, or practice reading to a teen, in the Children's Department - this program is presented by the teens of Ponte Vedra High School's Book Club. Select what you'd like to hear, read from any of our books, or bring your favorites from home. Please note:  All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program and to be a teen participating in the program, you must be a member of the Ponte Vedra High School Book Club.


  • Literary Lions Book Club: Passage of Power by Robert A. Caro

    Pulitzer Prize biographer, Robert A. Caro, follows Lyndon Johnson through both the most frustrating and the most triumphant periods of his career. The Passage of Power describes Johnson's volatile relationship with John and Robert Kennedy during the fight they waged for the 1960 Democratic nomination for president, through Johnson's unhappy vice presidency, his assumption to the presidency after Kennedy's assassination, his victories over the budget and civil rights, and the eroding trap of Vietnam.

  • Read to Rover

    Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time. Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club. Don't miss this great experience.

    Come visit with Maddie, Clifford, Cookie, or Oskar. Read them one of your favorite books or one of the many doggie tales we have at the library.

     

  • St. Johns Reads Event: Flying Dragon Citrus

    Staff from Flying Dragon Citrus discuss how citrus came to our state, its history in Florida, and how best to grow citrus in your backyard. Plants will also be available for purchase following the program.

     

  • Book Sale

    Do you love books? Do you love your library? Show your love by visiting The Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library book sale from 9:30am to noon. Books of all kinds and items such as DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, and audiobooks will be available. Proceeds from the book sale support programs at the Bartram Trail Branch Library.

     

  • St. Johns Reads Event: Author Visit by Tim Dorsey

    Join us as we welcome New York Times Bestselling author, Tim Dorsey, back to the Bartram Trail Branch Library to discuss his new book, Tiger Shrimp Tango. He will be autographing books and selling merchandise. Light snacks will be provided by the Bartram Trail Friends of the Library.

  • GBBC: Backyard Bird Count Gear Up

    GBBC Event Saturday, February 8 @ 2 pm
    Join Jacqui from the Audubon Society to learn how to create your own bird-friendly backyard. After the program, we will provide you with your very own "go kit" to go out and participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count. To ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the program, there will be 52 tickets available 1 hour before the program at the front desk.
