    Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories...anything. We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others. Bring your sketchbooks, journals, and your own coffee mug and we'll fill it with decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

    Sharpen your writing skills - we'll be handwriting friendly letters to other library teens. No typing allowed.

    Join Dr. Daniel Cantliffe, UF/IFAS County Extension Director St. Johns County, as he discusses the fascinating agricultural history of St. Johns County. Along the way, you will learn about the crops, people, artifacts, and farming practices that have made Northeast Florida what it is today.

    Experts from Flying Dragon Citrus discuss how citrus came to our state, its history in Florida, and how best to grow citrus in your backyard. Plants will also be available for purchase following the program.

  • Great Backyard Bird Count Meet-Up for Birding Guides & Walks

    GBBCSaturday, February 15 @ 9am - 3pm
    In this great family activity, we'll learn how to go birding. There will be several birding guides available to take out groups of adults and children at the Ocean Hammock Park (on A1A). You may also participate on your own by downloading the packet and turn in your results to be entered into the nationwide bird count.

     

  • Knit Wits Knitting Club

    Knit WitsSaturday, February 15 @ 10:30am
    The Knit Wits is a family affair. Kids 8-17 are welcome to come in and learn to knit along, or bring along mom so she can learn too. Learn to knit, or bring in something you’ve already started, and knit with the group. Please bring your own knitting needles, if you have them.
