    Read your way to raffle prizes. For every book you read, and review, from June 2 through August 2, you will be entered into a raffle to win prizes. The more you read and review, the better your chances are to win. Review forms are available at the Main Library. Must be 18 or older to enter.

     

  • Family Film Series

    Main Library is hosting a summer Family Film Series every Wednesday through August 1 in the large meeting room. Bring the kids and enjoy free organic popcorn, courtesy of Diane's Natural Foods. Today's film is an uplifting story of a man struggling to fulfill a lifelong dream. His pals Russel, Doug, and Kevin join him on his high flying adventure as he seeks out a secret South American water fall. Rated PG.

    Hey kids, beat the heat this summer by challenging your friends in our game room. Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm, you can try out games on our Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Wii consoles. Gaming sessions begin as soon as the Family Film ends.

    Meet Duffy the Storytime Bear around the parachute every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program. Want time to socialize? Stick around for the all new Duffy's Stay and Play, where caregivers can chat and little ones can enjoy free play.

    HONK HONK! Check out the awesome vehicles used by the St. Johns County Fire Rescue Team and the St. Augustine Police Department. Learn about these local heroes and their big toys, then make some cool crafts.

     

  • Summer Reading Event: Science for Kids

    Kids JEA WorkshopWednesday, July 2 @ 3pm
    Attention math geeks and science nerds: your parents need your help to save energy AND money. Come to our DIY Science program and learn how to measure energy used in your home. You can then use these calculations to see where you can make some changes to save money AND help save the earth. You’ll be able to borrow a home energy kit for two weeks to do your own experiments at home. Recommended for ages 10 and up (unless you’re a MATH GENIUS.) Please bring your adult with you. Register by calling the library at 827-6960. Presented for free by the Green Team Project in conjunction with JEA and the St. Johns County Public Library System.
