  • LEGO Club for Tweens

    LegoWednesday, July 16 @ 4pm
    Tweens in 4th-7th grades (ages 9 - 13) are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too.

     

  • Wednesday Brown Bag Lunch: Ancient Olive Tasting Experience

    Friends of the Main Library St. AugustineWednesday, July 16 @ 12:30pm
    The team at The Ancient Olive will take you on a sensory tour of the world's finest extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars. We'll teach you how to taste and buy world-class olive oils and detect fraudulent oils. You'll leave the program as a professional taster with a big appetite for the world of gourmet oils and vinegars.

    The program is free of charge and open to the public. Bring your lunch and enjoy the program as well as light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.     Main Library is hosting a summer Family Film Series every Wednesday through August 1 in the large meeting room. Bring the kids and enjoy free organic popcorn, courtesy of Diane's Natural Foods. In today's film, super villian Gru is back and struggling to deal with his little girls growing up while he himself...gulp...is falling in love? Can he battle the bad guys AND be a family man? Rated PG.

     

  • Summer Gaming

    Hey kids, beat the heat this summer by challenging your friends in our game room.  Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm, you can try out games on our Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstation 4 and Wii consoles. Gaming sessions begin as soon as the Family Film ends.

    The Hastings Book Club stays with Southern Gothic writers in July. We're reading Carson McCullers, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, as well as her collected short stories.

     

  • LB Reptile Experience

    Wednesday, July 16 @ 10 am

    LB Reptile Experience will bring lizards, snakes, turtles, and more to Hastings. This program helps educate children about the needs, conservation, and care of these wonderful reptiles. The presentation will be at the Hastings Recreation Center Gym at 400 E. Harris St.

    Meet Duffy the Storytime Bear around the parachute every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program. Want time to socialize? Stick around for the all new Duffy's Stay and Play, where caregivers can chat and little ones can enjoy free play.

    Join us for a hands-on presentation by the local St. Johns County 4-H to learn about agriculture, where our food comes from, and how things grow. Take home your very own project courtesy of the SJC 4-H.

    Ever look out your window and wonder what kind of snake that was lying in your yard? Gather family, friends, and neighbors and come to the reptile show at the library. LB Reptile Experience will bring lizards, snakes, turtles, and more to our library. This program helps educate children about the needs, conservation, and care of these wonderful reptiles. To ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the program, there will be 95 tickets available 1 hour before each show. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.
