  • Summer Reading Event: FLYP Ice Cream Party

    Thursday, July 31 @ 3:30pm

    All our summer reading participants are invited to join us for our celebratory Ice Cream Party and to wear your pajamas, if you wish. St. Augustine's Jane Quackenbush, author of The Rocket Ship Bed Trip, will be our special guest with a story about how you can dream your way around the solar system. Copies of the book will be on sale with proceeds benefitting the library. Join us for ice cream, an out-of-this-world story, crafts, and more. Thank you to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for generously sponsoring our entire summer reading program.

     

  • Babytime

    Babytime is designed for pre-walkers ages 0-16 months. Join us in The Children's Room for a lapsit circle time where we will engage the wee little ones with songs, action rhymes, and sensory exploration. Parents can learn fun new ways to interact with their babies and socialize them with other children in the same age group. For the safety of the babies, we encourage parents to graduate their toddlers to Toddler Time once they are able to walk and run.

     

  • Toddler Time

    Toddler Time is designed for children ages 1-3. Mr. Andy and Mrs. Marcia will sing songs, read stories, perform action rhymes, and more. It is always a great time, but seating is limited. If you don't make it into the 11am program, we will be hosting a second one at 11:30am so stick around. You'll be glad you did.

     

  • Summer Reading Event: Final Ice Cream Party

    It's the last episode of this year's Florida Library Youth Program. Help us close out a great summer with one of the most amazing scientific creations ever: Ice Cream. Create your own science experiment by mixing and matching a variety of toppings. All are welcome and the fun lasts until the last scoop is gone.

  • Yoga for Kids

    Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, lower stress, and improve energy. Learn to relax your mind and body with some simple, kid-friendly stretches and exercises. This program is for beginners and fun for the whole family.  It is recommended that you wear loose clothing and bring your own towel or mat.

    Get crafty and creative with some out-of-the-box art. Experiment with different tools and mediums as you learn about different cultures and artists. This series is appropriate for kids of all ages. Although plastic aprons are supplied, please wear clothing that you feel comfortable painting in. This series is sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

     

  • Southeast Book Club: The Boys in the Boat

    Everyone is invited to join us as we discuss Daniel Brown's lastest book which centers around the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.   • Summer Reading Event: Meet Your Local Super Heroes

    Thursday, July 31 @ 10am

    fire truckCome and meet our local Super Heroes. The men and women of the Switzerland Fire House will bring the fire fighting trucks and an ambulance for you to explore. They will also teach us lots of way to be safe in our homes and neighborhoods.

    Bartram Trail’s FLYP Programs take place at 10am and are held at the Family Activities Building (FAB) at Switzerland Community Church located at 2179 State Road 13. Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that FLYP Programs are designed for the school-age child. Strollers and street shoes will not be permitted in the building.     Take charge of your health and your life. Join us for a free seminar series covering a gluten free diet. Discover who might need to live gluten free, the health benefits of the diet and how to find gluten free foods or make your own.  Participants will be able to try various samples and everyone is invited to attend. Hosted by special guest speaker SPYROS, a Gluten Free Expert and Consultant.
