  • Just for Babies and Family Storytimes

    Bird Island Park's Ms. Gail and Ms. Suzanne present programs for little ones.

    Just for Babies - Held August 5 at 10:15am; for babies up to 15 months and their caregivers. This infant lapsit is designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby. Families with multiple children are encouraged to attend Family Storytime.

    Family Storytime - Held every Tuesday morning in August at 11am; for children 16 months - 5 years and their families, though no child will be turned away. For more information on system-wide library storytimes, please go here.

    Thank you to Ms. Gail and Ms. Suzanne - our wonderful library and Bird Island Park volunteers - for providing storytime programming during August.

     

  • Gentle Stretching with Lenore

    Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, lower stress, and improve energy. Join us for a free hour of yoga with Miss Lenore. Registration is not required. Wear loose clothing and bring your yoga mat, if you have one. For more information, call the library at 827-6940.

     

  • Movie Night at Main

    Movie night at MainTuesday, August 5 @ 5pm

    Tired of being on the hold list and can't wait any longer to see that new release film? Then join us at the library for a movie night. Scientist, Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp), strives to create an artificial intelligence that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. His experiments take on dangerous implications when his consciousness is uploaded into one such program. This film is rated PG-13. Please call the library at 827-6940 for movie title. We'll have plenty of snacks, courtesy of the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.

     

  • Yoga Class

    Increase flexibility, build strength, and decrease stress while engaging in the ancient practice of yoga. Yoga instructor Sharon Sprenger will guide students through various techniques to help tone and relax the body. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing.

     

  • Young Writers' Club

    Kids and teens are invited to practice various types of writing in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

     

     

  • Teen Lounge

    teensTuesday, August 5 @ 3:30pm

    Teen Lounge is open for gaming on the PS3, Wii, or PS2. We also have board games, paints, and other crafts. Musical instruments are available as well.

     

  • Anastasia Island Movie Club

    Old Fashion Movie CameraTuesday, August 5 @ 5:30pm
    (PG) This month's movie takes us to the Middle East. An enterprising Saudi girl signs on for her school's Koran recitation competition as a way to raise the remaining funds she needs in order to buy the green bicycle that has captured her interest.
