Kids All About Bugs Science Event

Gentle Stretching with Gina

Gentle StretchingFriday, August 15 @ 10:30am
This free class emphasizes stretching, coordination of breath with movement, and attention to alignment and is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. Stretching is great for those who are experiencing joint sensitivity, or overall stiffness. Wear loose clothing, bring a towel & mat. Presented by yoga instructor, Gina Mercado.

 

Family Movie with the Muppets!!

(PG) While on a grand world tour, The Muppets find themselves wrapped into an European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit the Frog look-alike and his dastardly sidekick. Nature Detective Workshops for Kids: Bats!

Nature DetectivesWednesday, August 6 @ 2:30pm & again @ 3:30pm
Children (ages 6 - 12) are invited to become Nature Detectives at our hands-on workshops where we'll learn all about bats and how these pollinators relate to gardening. Every child will receive free gardening goodies, including Nature Detective notebooks, and enjoy learning all about our wonderful Florida bats and why they are so valuable and not so scary. These workshops are designed by the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants, sponsored by the Garden Club of St. Augustine and the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library. Space is limited!  Call 209-3730 to register.
