Celebrate Halloween at the library during our Halloween themed craft and story times. Test drive your Halloween costume! We'll make a fun craft, trick or treat in the library, then enjoy some not-too-spooky BOOOOOks during our pre-school storytime!

Middle Eastern Dance Class

Explore the ancient art of bellydance right here in the Ancient City! Join us for an afternoon of Middle East dance and culture with local instructor Liz Rizzolo. No previous experience required! Meet the Beach Police Safety Storytime!

Toddlers, pre-schoolers, moms, and dads can all come into the library for a very special safety storytime with our very own local Beach Police Officer Martinez!  He will provide some great child safety information, read some funny stories, have a craft and even be handing out some things to make your child's life a little safer!

Do you love books and suffer from an overwhelming desire to read as often as possible? Fulfill your desire and support your local library at the same time. Visit us this weekend and pick out a book or two or twenty. On Saturday only, prices will be reduced by 50% and you can even fill a grocery sack with dollar books for five dollars.

Little Ones Craft Time: Wednesdays @ 10:45am
Preschool Storytime Wednesdays @ 11:05am
Storytimes resume September 3. Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs. Come for songs, stories, and fun. We look forward to seeing you. 

 

Kids LEGO Brick Club

It's Talk Like a Pirate Day LEGO Club. Come to the library to play with over 60 pounds of LEGO bricks and pieces. Make something Piratey and get a prize. We supply the LEGO bricks and fun - all you need to bring is your imagination. There is no registration or fee for this program.

 

Kids Be Your Own Scientist: Shadows

Kids, ages 3-7, are invited to the library to learn about shadows. We will teach the kids about shadows, have some fun Halloween themed shadow puppet shows, as well as a great hands on activity for the kids to create their own shadow puppet! Sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Library.

Pins & Needles is a knitting and needlework group open to all ages, from kids through seniors. If you love to knit, crochet, or do needlework, join our group. Do you want to learn? Bring in your project and we'll help you get started. All ages and levels are welcome.
