Kids and tweens can come into the library to create some festive Dia de los Muertos and Halloween crafts: scratch skulls, paper flowers and spooky scenes. There will also be a spooky woods dress-up/photo station for you to create a funny costume. We will even have some pumpkin slime on hand for you to feel!

Kids can come into the library to make some spooky, sweet Halloween treats! You'll be able to make Dracula's teeth, Marshmallow Witches, roast some S'mores bites, and more! This is a FREE event and will last until the supplies run out. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Do you love Goosebumps? Kids can come into the library to enjoy this RL Stine classic, The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It. Bullied by her peers, tired of her parents, and bugged by her little brother, goth girl Cassie decides to get some harmless revenge by reading a scary book to her brother - summoning a monster in the process. Light snacks will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

What could be better than some shadow puppets to get you in the Halloween spirit? Come in and see more of your favorite kids stories made into shadow puppet shows! This month, we will feature: Frangoline and the Midnight Dream by Clemency Pearce and The Hallo-wiener by Dav Pilkey. After, you can even create your own shadow puppets and play with them in our theater!

Books & Bites, a delightful cooking demonstration, combines our love of literature and food. In this installment, enjoy samples that may have been served below stairs, take home new recipes, and gain a taste of what it might have been like to be a member of the household staff in grand estates like Highclere Castle, the real-life setting of Downton Abbey.
