Storytimes @ Anastasia Island Library

AI StorytimesBaby/Toddler Time: Wednesdays @ 10:15am
Little Ones Craft Time: Wednesdays @ 10:45am
Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays @ 11:05am

Storytimes will run January 7 - April 29.
 
Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months of age. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue, and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs, counting and colors in Spanish. Come for songs, stories, and fun. Baby/Spanish storytime consists of lap-sit rhymes, songs, and stories in both English and Spanish. We look forward to seeing you. 

 

Play with Snow @ the Library

Did you know there are different types of snow?! Have you ever played in snow? Kids (Ages 4-11) can come into the library to learn a little about snow and then play with some of our own homemade snow. We will have glittery, slushy snow, fun moldable snow, and more.

 

 

Cooking for Two at Home

CookingJoin local chef and cookbook author, Warren Caterson, as he shares dozens of kitchen tips, cooking hints, and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking for two. Warren will end the presentation with a cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy entrée that anyone can replicate in their own home.

CLASS HAS FILLED.  ANOTHER SESSION WILL BE OFFERED IN MARCH. Seniors and adults, discover art through the Library and its resources. Those who have never held a paintbrush, mixed colors, or created a personal masterpiece will have the opportunity to do so completely free of charge. This 3-hour workshop is sponsored by the St. Johns Cultural Council, the State of the Arts License Plate Program, and the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library. 

 

St. Augustine Alligator Farm: Animals Have Class

Kids can come into the library to visit with our friends from the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Learn key characteristics that make animals similar to and different from each other. Students will examine several different classes of animals and learn what traits set them apart. Sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.
