Jacksonville Genealogy Society: Intermediate Genealogy Session II

genealogy clubThe Jacksonville Genealogy Society will be holding a the second session of the Intermediate Genealogy Class, featuring research resources in the U.S. It will be held from 10:15am to 1:15pm at the Bartram Trail  Branch Library, 60 Davis Pond Blvd, Fruit Cove, FL 32259, today.  Session III will be held on December 20, 2014. 

Topics are scheduled to include: Sources-Analysis & Evaluation; Source Citations; Land Records (with platting); and Analyzing Documents; Planning a Research Trip; and Research Plans. Registration is requested for planning purposes. Please register by emailing your name, address, and phone number to info@jaxgen.org. There is no charge to attend this series.

Holiday Craft Class for Adults

Teen Gamers

 Saturday, March 21 @ 5pm - 7pm

teen gamers Teens (Age 12+), bring your friends to the library for a couple hours of gaming. We have Super Smash Brothers, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii, and PS3, or play Halo on X-Box 360. Refreshments will be served.

 

 

Children's Movie Matinee

It's not an April Fool's Day joke...the movie is on!  It'san early release day, so grab your friends and come watch that favorite movie about all those spotted dogs. Family Storytime: Meet Your Local Super Heroes

fire truckCome and meet our local Super Heroes. The men and women of the Switzerland Fire House will bring fire fighting trucks and an ambulance for you to explore. They will also teach us lots of ways to be safe in our homes and neighborhoods.
