Bartram Trail Book Club

a long way goneMonday, April 20 @ 7pm

A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, written by Ishmael Beah tells his story of being a child solider in Sierra Leone. His reflections paint the grisly story of modern day warfare. Children are manipulated to go against their nature. They are made into killers and experience violence no child should have to endure. Beah’s account is heartbreakingly honest and will change your view of the conflicts going on worldwide.
