horseThis week we’ll be reading about horses. We’ll sing and dance, too. However, there will be no horse puppets. Instead, we’ll have a real, live (mini) horse at the library. Join us for some horsing around.

 

Get Caught Reading (All Month Long)

May is Get Caught Reading month. Children and teens “caught” reading in the library, and elsewhere any time throughout the month of May, will receive a ticket to be entered into a weekly raffle. See a child or teen reading? Snap a picture and bring it to the library. Entrants will also have their pictures taken and posted on the bulletin board if they like. This annual national campaign is supported by the Association of American Publishers.

 

Children's Book Week Event: Bingo for Books

Kids of all ages are invited to come and play Bingo for Books in honor of Children’s Book Week. There will be lots of books to choose from and no one will walk away empty handed. Have fun at the library.

 

Stay 'n Play

Friday, May 17 @ 11am
No need to rush out after storytime. Stay for playtime with puzzles, toys, and games. Your child will get a chance to socialize, and you will, too.

Teen Book Club

But what kind of book store is it really? The customers never seem to buy anything and are oddly secretive. With the help of his friends, Clay embarks on a complex analysis of their behavior to figure out the mystery. Join us in our discussion of Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan.
