National Library Week Craft for Kids and Teens

Kid PaintingEarth Day is Monday, so join us for a good story and a fun nature printing craft. Articles in the natural world will be used to transfer images to cloth. It’s a take-home craft you’ll want to display!

Stay 'n Play: National Library Week

BabyNo need to rush out after storytime. Stay for playtime with puzzles, toys, and games. Your child will get a chance to socialize, and you will, too! In celebration of the National Library Week theme “Communities Matter,” feel free to bring a snack or pot luck dish to share.

Big Girl SmallIn celebration of Teen Literature Day on April 18, the Teen Book Club will be reading Big Girl Small by Rachel DeWoskin. The main character, Judy Lohden, is a talented 16-year-old girl who attends the Darcy Arts Academy. She also happens to be hanging out in a lousy motel room, perhaps because of a ruinous scandal. Join us for discussion of this 2012 Alex Award winning novel and check out other award-winning titles in our Teen Literature Day display.
