December Just for Babies and Family Storytimes

Just for Babies - Held December 2 and December 16 at 10:15am; for babies up to 15 months and their caregivers. This infant lapsit is designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby. Families with multiple children are encouraged to attend Family Storytime.

Family Storytime - Held every Tuesday morning in December at 11am; for children 16 months - 5 years and their families, though no child will be turned away. For more information on system-wide library storytimes, please go here.

Thank you to Ms. Gail and Ms. Suzanne - our wonderful library and Bird Island Park volunteers - for providing storytime programming during December, a program planning month for our Youth Services Librarian Anne Crawford.

Family Film Series

We're showing an amazing family film sequel. This new release film features some amazing dolphins and their amazing tales. The film is free and so is the popcorn, while it lasts. Bring a friend and enjoy a family film on us. Brought to you by the Friends of Main Library St. Augustine.

 

MAIN-IAC LABS: Hour of Code

Thursday, December 11 @ 4pm

Mainiac Labs is branching out into new territory by participating in the world wide Hour of Code! Kids (Ages 4+), can explore a basic introduction to computer science and even learn basic programming skills using the Angry Birds platform. This 1 hour program is designed to demystify code and show that anyone can learn the basics.  There will be a guided lesson followed by individual and group exploration. Sponsored by The Friends of Main Library St. Augustine.

 

Kids Holiday Craft Party

Kids of all ages are invited to join us for jingles as we craft the afternoon away. Seasonal supplies will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Read to Rover: Jingle Barks

Beginning readers are invited to practice their reading skills when they read to a real, live therapy dog. Our dogs will be dressed in their holiday best for this week's session. Come prepared to read your favorite seasonal story.

 

 

Kids Yoga

yogaTuesday, December 9 @ 4:30pm

Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, lower stress, and improve energy. Learn to relax your mind and body with some simple, kid-friendly stretches and exercises. This program is for beginners and fun for the whole family. Please wear loose clothing and bring your own towel or mat. Teens are welcome, too.
