Beginning readers are invited to practice their reading skills when they read to a real, live therapy dog. Our dogs will be dressed in their holiday best for this week's session. Come prepared to read your favorite seasonal story.

 

 

Kids Yoga

Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, lower stress, and improve energy. Learn to relax your mind and body with some simple, kid-friendly stretches and exercises. This program is for beginners and fun for the whole family. Please wear loose clothing and bring your own towel or mat. Teens are welcome, too.

 

Holly Jolly Storytime

Come dressed in your holiday best for our jolliest storytime yet. Join us for some stories, songs, treats, and a very special guest all the way from the North Pole. Ho! Ho! Ho! This program is great for infants through elementary-aged children.

Jingle Crafts for Kids

Kids can come into the library to create some great jingly holiday crafts and ornaments. We will supply the craft materials - you supply the creativity. All crafting supplies are free, courtesy of the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

Baby/Spanish Storytimes in December

Spanish StorytimesFridays @ 10:15am in the Childrens Department

Join us every Friday in December for a fun Spanish/English storytime in the Children's Department. We will have lapsits for babies, rhymes, stories, music, and more. This storytime is conducted in both English and Spanish and is geared towards children and parents learning Spanish, but all are welcome. Bienveniedos a todos!

Wednesday Holiday Storytimes

Storytimes @ Anastasia Island Library

AI StorytimesThere will be no Wednesday storytimes in December.  Wednesday Storytimes will resume January 7. Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs, counting and colors in Spanish.
