Coin Club for Kids

Hey kids, have you been thinking about starting a coin collection? Then you'll want to come to the "Introduction to Coin Collecting for Kids" program presented by the Greater Jacksonville Coin Club. You'll learn about the history of U.S. coins, how they are made, where the mints are located, and get to see coins like half cents, Flying Eagles, Indian Head cents, half dimes, half dollars, and many more. Registration is required, please call the library at 827-6960 to reserve your spot.

 

Dr. Seuss Family Storytime

Join us for a special Dr. Seuss-themed Family Storytime celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday and "Read Across America" with a red fish/blue fish craft afterwards and Dr. Seuss stickers for every child who attends.

 

Prehistoric Pottery for Kids (Grades 2 - 5)

Florida Public Archaeology Network presents Prehistoric Pottery for Kids. Students learn about the advent of pottery in Florida and do hands-on experimentation using pay-doh to explore pottery-making and decorating technology. Space is limited and registration is required. Call the library at 827-6960 to reserve your place or sign up at the reference desk.

 

Just for Babies and Family Storytimes

Just for Babies - Held the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 10:15am; for babies up to 15 months and their caregivers. This infant lapsit is designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby. Families with multiple children are encouraged to attend Family Storytime.

Family Storytime - Held every Tuesday morning at 11am; for children 16 months - 5 years and their families, though no child will be turned away. For more information on system-wide library storytimes, please go here.

Family Game Time

Family Board Game NightWednesday, March 26 from 3pm - 6pm
Every 4th Wednesday of the month, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and many more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

 

LEGO Club for Tweens

LegoWednesday, March 19 @ 4pm
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, tweens in 4th-7th grades are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too.

 

Free Nemours BrightStart Screenings for Ages 3 - 5

storytimeTuesday, March 18 from 10am - 12:30pm
Children ages 3-5 are invited to receive a free, 10-minute Early Literacy Screening at the library, courtesy of Nemours BrightStart. Registration is taken on a first-come, first serve basis by a Nemours representative. Utilize this free screening to find out where your child's literacy strengths lay and what you can do to help them improve in any other areas before they start school.
