Storytimes @ Anastasia Island Library

Little Ones Craft Time: Wednesdays @ 10:45am
Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays @ 11:05am
Baby / Spanish Storytime: Fridays @ 10:15am

Storytimes run through December 3. Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue, and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs, counting, and colors in Spanish. Come for songs, stories, and fun. Baby / Spanish storytime consists of lap-sit rhymes, songs, and stories in both English and Spanish.  We look forward to seeing you. 

 

Toddler and Preschool Storytimes

Toddler Storytime is held every Wednesday, January 7 through April 29 at 10:15am. This program is designed for children 16 months to 3 years and their caregivers. Each session is 20-25 minutes.

Preschool Storytime is held every Wednesday, January 7 through April 29 @ 11am. This program is for children ages 3 to 5 years. Children are encouraged to attend independently. Caregivers may stay in the room or be close by in the library. Includes music, stories, and classrom-type interaction. Each session is 25-30 minutes. Visit our other branches for additional storytimes.

 

Bedtime Storytime

Wear your PJs to this special session of our regular storytime where we do storytime backwards, starting with a craft. We're celebrating going back to school. This is a family program that is suitable for all young children.

 

Children's Magic Shows Performed by Teens

Magician Mark Alan and Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library teen volunteers are prepared to dazzle children of all ages with their magic. Sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, these teens have attended weekly workshops with Magician Mark Alan to learn magic and they are eager to share with you. Join us and prepare to be amazed by our talented teens.

 

Fun in the Sun Back to School Party

Celebrate the end of summer and the return to school with an epic Fun in the Sun party! Warning: you will get wet. Take part in our school supply drive and provide supplies for local kids in need.

 

Yoga for Kids

Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, lower stress, and improve energy. Learn to relax your mind and body with some simple, kid-friendly stretches and exercises. This program is for beginners and fun for the whole family.  It is recommended that you wear loose clothing and bring your own towel or mat.

Kids going crazy at home? Join us for snacks and fun as we watch fearless optimist Anna team up with Kristoff in an epic journey, along with a hilarious snowman named Olaf, in a race to find Anna's sister, Elsa. Based on Hans Christian Andersen's Snow Queen.

 

Family Movie

LegosWednesday, August 6 @ 2pm

Kids going crazy at home? Come join us for fun and snacks as we watch an ordinary Lego construction worker recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyranny from gluing the universe into eternal stasis. This movie is rated PG and is great for the whole family.

 

STAND Against Bullying with Magician Mark Alan

Magician Mark Alan presents a serious topic in a fun manner using comedy, magic, ventriloquism, musical routines, and lots of interaction to help give kids the tools they need to take a stand against bullying. This 45-minute program is intended for elementary-age children, but is fun for all. Sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and made possible at all St. Johns County branch libraries by the Barbara A. Kay Foundation Grant. Everyone is welcome.
