Summer Reading Program: Joe Asconi Rhythm Company

Get into the beat with Joe Asconi and his drums! Joe Asconi Rhythm Company will help connect children to the natural rhythms of the world as he leads them in a spectacular drum circle. Joe was wonderful last year, and we eagerly welcome him back this year! Children of all ages are welcome; please be aware, however, that these programs are geared toward the school-age child. Children's FLYP Event: Fire Dept. and Ice Cream at Bird Island Park
Thursday, August 9 @3:30 at Bird Island Park
This program will be held indoors in case of rain.
Celebrate an incredible summer of reading and programs with the St. Johns County Fire Fighters and Ice Cream! We will be serving ice cream and giving you an opportunity to explore the fire truck and meet real fire fighters outside at Bird Island Park, located directly behind the library. We can't wait to celebrate our young readers!

Children's FLYP Event: "Pajama Camp" presented by Ms. Anne ("Croak") and Ms. Amy ("Hawkeye")!

Join Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library's own Ms. Anne ("Croak") and Ms. Amy ("Hawkeye") as we take you "camping under the night's sky" with stories, songs, audience participation, and so much more...all while wearing your PJs, if you wish! Children who come in their pajamas or with a special blanket or favorite stuffed animal will win a special prize. Don't miss this opportunity to see "Croak" and "Hawkeye" wear their PJs, get really silly, and have you joining in all while we celebrate our summer reading theme: "Dream Big, Read!" We'll even show you how to make your own dreamcatchers and send each child home with materials to make one!
