June 14 - August 1
Summer is here and it is time for the Main Library Summer Reading Program! Children of all ages are invited to track their reading all summer long and earn free prizes. Stop by the Children's Desk at Main Library anytime and get your reading log. Be sure to get your name on a bookworm for our window display when you do. Bring your reading log in everytime you visit so we can track your progress.  The more you read, the more prizes you can earn. Kids Summer Program: Zoo to You!

Join us on when the Jacksonville Zoo will bring a variety of animals for us to see and learn about when they come to the library!  Please come one hour early for a free ticket, as seating is limited for this single show with the zoo. *Sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Library

 

Kids Summer Program: Shadow Puppet Theater

It's hot and we have cool air and awesome, free entertainment...  Come in and see more of your favorite stories made into shadow puppet shows!  This month, we will feature: How to be a Viking by Cressida Cowell and The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch. After, you can even create your own shadow puppets and play with them in our theater!

Baby/Spanish Storytimes in the Children's Department!

Join us every Friday for a fun Spanish/English storytime in the Children's Department. We will have lapsits for babies, rhymes, stories, music, and more. This storytime is conducted in both English and Spanish and is geared toward children and parents learning Spanish, but all are welcome. Bienveniedos a todos!

Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays @ 11:05am

Storytimes run June 3-August 5. 
 
Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months of age. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue, and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs, counting and colors in Spanish. Come for songs, stories, and fun. We look forward to seeing you.
