Winter Wonderland Crafts for Kids

Elftastic Crafts!Kids can come into the library to meet our very own Elf on the Library Shelf, watch and sing along with our shadow puppet caroling show, decorate their own holiday cookie, and make an elf-tastic craft. Stories with Santa

He will be here sharing stories about the North Pole and answering questions from the wee ones about what life is like for Santa. Remember to bring your camera, as this is sure to be a memory you won't want to forget.

 

Visions of Sugar Plums Holiday Storytime

Jingle down to the library for a grand celebration of the winter holidays. This storytime for all ages will feature songs, stories, games, and some special holiday visitors. We ask that children please wear socks and close-toed shoes for this program. As part of one of our games, children will remove their shoes and leave them lined up outside the storytime amphitheatre. Don't forget to bring your camera.

 

Read to Rover Holiday Party

Who let the dogs out? Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time. Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club. Don't miss this great experience.

Santa Paws is coming to town. Maddie, Clifford, Cookie, and Oscar are ready to celebrate the holidays with you. We will have holiday stories to read and doggie and kiddie treats to share.

 

Homeschool Hoopla

Join our homeschool group... right after storytime. Starting at 12pm, socialize with other homeschool kids and parents during a bring-your-own brown bag “Library Lunch." Then, join our Library Lessons class at 12:30pm, where you and your child will learn together how to use library resources, from finding books on the shelf to checking out e-books. We meet once a month and the library lessons presented will be adaptable to all ages. Call Kristine at 827-6900 for more information.

This month's lesson is all about book genres.  We will be reviewing characteristics of a variety of fiction and nonfiction genres.

 

Family Storytime
