All parents are encouraged to bring their children to the library to learn how to stay safe. Roger Delaney of the Dignity Memorial Escape School (recently featured on local news programs) will teach children hands-on techniques to use if confronted in an abduction situation. This program is free and open to the public with no reservations required.
Wednesday, November 13 @ 4pm
Children (Kindergarten - 5th grade), and their caregivers, are invited to make crafts with the teens of Nease High School's Arts in Motion Club. Materials are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, no registration is needed, and it's free. Please Note: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.

Connect with your friends and others in your community on International Games Day. Games let us practice strategy, planning, cooperation, and memory skills. But they're also just plain fun. Whether it's on the PS3, Wii, board games, or just plain checkers, we'll have some serious playtime at the Hastings Branch Library.

Do you love Family Game Time? The whole family is invited to join us today for a whole day of gaming fun in celebration of International Games Day. Simply go to the Reference Desk, any time between 11am and 4pm, and check out up to two board games to play anywhere in our library using your library card or driver's license. The board games are generously provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
Just for Babies - Held the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 10:15am; for babies up to 15 months and their caregivers. This infant lapsit is designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby. Families with multiple children are encouraged to attend Family Storytime.
Family Storytime - Held every Tuesday morning at 11am; for children 16 months - 5 years and their families, though no child will be turned away. For more information on system-wide library storytimes, please go here.
Wednesday, November 20 from 3pm - 6pm
Held this month on the third Wednesday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and many more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
Wednesday, November 20 @ 4pm
Tweens in 4th-7th grades are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too.
Tuesday, November 19 from 10am - 12:30pm
Children ages 3-5 are invited to receive a free, 10-minute Early Literacy Screening at the library, courtesy of Nemours BrightStart. Registration is taken on a first-come, first serve basis by a Nemours representative. Utilize this free screening to find out where your child's literacy strengths lay and what you can do to help them improve in any other areas before they start school.

All children are invited to be read to by a teen or practice reading to a teen in the Children's Department - this program is presented by the teens of Ponte Vedra High School's Book Club. Select what you'd like to hear, read from any of our books, or bring your favorites from home. Please note: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program and to be a teen participating in the program, you must be a member of the Ponte Vedra High School Book Club.

Looking for fun for the whole family? Come in and play Bingo for Books from 2pm to 3pm today. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one free book. Books are generously donated by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.
