This free class emphasizes stretching, coordination of breath with movement, and attention to alignment. The class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. Stretching is great for those who are experiencing joint sensitivity, or overall stiffness. Wear loose clothing, bring a towel & mat. Presented by yoga instructor, Gina Mercado.

Lincolnville's complicated history and artistic heritage will be the topic of Rosamond Parrish's captivating talk that features vivid images and anecdotes from her book Lincolnville. In addition to hearing how this fascinating neighborhood was the storied center of Civil Rights Movement activity 50 years ago, listeners will learn about current and past artists who've done paintings of Lincolnville landmarks and the folk art that's now part of the local scene. At this program, Parrish will sell her books and donate a percentage of those sales to the library.
