After School Gaming

School-age children, tweens, and teens choose what they want to play after school at the Main Library. A selection of video game choices for X-box 360, PS3, and Wii consoles will be offered. Complimentary snacks and soda will be provided. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County and Sony.

This simple workout is specifically designed to stretch and strengthen the back with a mix of dynamic and static stretches. This free class is presented by yoga instructor, Gina Mercado.

Summer Storytimes @ Main Library
It's already summer, and we're inviting you to join us each week for all the laughs of storytime. We'll share some of our favorite books, sing songs, play music, tell interactive stories, make crafts, & have lots of fun!

Baby Time 10:15 am
A gentle lapsit program with action rhymes, fingerplays, and first books for babies. For pre-walkers only, please.
Toddler Time 11 am
We'll sing, we'll dance, and share our excitement for books and learning at the library. Don't be shy and bring your dancing shoes!
Preschool Storytime 11:30 am
"Big Kids" get a storytime of their own. Longer stories, a variety of early literacy concepts, listening, & pre-classroom skills. Perfect for 3-5 year olds.
Graphic Novel Workshop

Get GRAPHIC this weekend with a free two-part graphic novel workshop! Join Jacksonville graphic novelist, Andre R. Frattino, as he presents a brief presentation on the history and production of comic books and graphic novels. The second part of the workshop will be a hands-on opportunity for attendees to draw their own 6-panel comic strip. Andre will be happy to give tips and pointers, as well as, look at graphic artist portfolios! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County.
