During September the restaurant will donate 5% of selected meal checks to us. Children are invited to listen to the story of a leatherback turtle and a blue balloon, read by the author. Find out what happens in the story and discover the special message that is revealed at the end. Melanie Cavanaugh, the author of The Blue Balloon, and Libby Heineken, the illustrator, will be present to autograph purchased books. There will also be an opportunity for children to make a turtle or jellyfish craft to take home. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, with a percentage of the proceeds going to The Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine and the new sea turtle hospital at Whitney Laboratory.
