Happy National Tolkien Week! We are celebrating the Tale Teller of Middle-earth by screening Peter Jackson's film adaptation of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. Today we will conclude the trilogy with the final film, The Return of the King. Frodo makes his way through the darkness to Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring. Aragon learns of his destiny as the true King and the others prepare for a massive battle that will determine the fate of Middle-Earth. 200 minutes. PG-13. The session will include how to get your credit report for free, how to get an estimated credit score for free, how your credit score is calculated, and what improves and damages your credit score. Give Blood. Save Lives. The Blood Alliance, a non-profit organization that collects, processes, and distributes blood to our community, will host a blood drive in front of the Main Library on Sept 21st from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Anyone who is in good health, is at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), and weighs at least 110 pounds may donate blood. Picture ID issued by a federal, local, or state government agency is required to donate. Click here to schedule an appointment.

Author and instructor Patricia Gaydos will present The Kindle and the Writer. She will show attendees how to use Kindle's email service to send text file attachments. She will teach how to turn on the text-to-speech feature to listen to your document. She will also discuss productivity apps, such as Microsoft's free Word app on Kindle to open, write, edit, save, and share Word documents.
