LEGO Club for Tweens

LegoWednesday, October 16 @ 4pm
Tweens in 4th-7th grades are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too.

 

After-School Crafts with Teens

Children (K - 5th grade), and their caregivers, are invited to make crafts with the teens of Nease High School's Arts in Motion Club. Materials are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, no registration is needed, and it's free. Please Note:  All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.

 

Teen Gaming Night

Teens (Age 13-18) are invited to have fun with friends at the library. Play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), Nintendo Wii, and X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Snacks are provided. Author Event: Maurice Robinson

Maurice Robinson, author of two books on Ponte Vedra history, will talk about the community’s history from its pre-colonial beginnings to today. Come discover a side of Ponte Vedra’s story rarely heard before.

This month's Book Talk Cafe features Jamie Rousch Pearce, author of Historic Haunts Florida. Please join us for a fascinating journey into the paranormal and learn about some of Florida's most haunted and historic sites. Everyone is welcome and it's free. Dr. Gerson Yessin Music Series

MusicThe Vivace Trio, with Carolyn Snyder Menke, flute, Gia Sastre, flute, and Lynne Radcliffe, piano, will give the first concert of the Friends of the Library music series for the 2013/14 season. Everyone is welcome and it's free. Doors open at 6pm and seating is limited. This program is made possible by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Un-Scary Halloween Party for Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers

Join us for our 5th annual "Un-Scary" Halloween Party and enjoy games, crafts, dancing, non-food prizes, a costume parade through the library, and more. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. PLEASE NOTE:  Bring your own camera to take pictures of your child(ren) at our "Pun-Kin Pictures" station. Call 827-6950 for more details. Viva Florida 500 Family Storytime: Featuring Park Ranger and guest reader Tonya!

Florida State Park Ranger Tonya will join Ms. Anne for a special storytime in celebration of "September is Literacy Month" and Viva Florida 500.  This fun storytime event will feature nature-themed and autumn books and include a nature walk outdoors after storytime in beautiful Bird Island Park located behind the library!

This popular author series features regional author Melanie Neale, who will discuss her memoir, Boat Girl, describing her experiences growing up aboard a 47' sailboat. Everyone is welcome and it's free. This program is made possible by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
