Ponte Vedra Branch
Saturday, July 19 @ 1pm & 2:30pm (repeat workshop) [NEW date]
Children (ages 6 - 12) are invited to become Nature Detectives at our hands-on workshops where we'll learn all about bats and how these pollinators relate to gardening. Every child will receive free gardening goodies, including Nature Detective notebooks, and enjoy learning all about our wonderful Florida bats and why they are so valuable and not so scary. These workshops are designed by the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants, sponsored by the Garden Club of St. Augustine and the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, with special partners from Bird Island Park providing activities with a special bat craft afterwards. Space is limited; sign up for a workshop by stopping by the Reference Desk or calling the library at 827-6950.
