AARP Tax Assistance

aarp tax assistanceTuesdays, February 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 10am to 2pm        Thursdays, February 5, 19 & 26 from 10am to 2pm
Fridays, February 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 10am to 2pm
         
The AARP Tax-Aide program offers free, one-on-one counseling to help individuals prepare basic tax forms, including the 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, and other standard schedules. Counseling is available to all low-to-middle income taxpayers, regardless of age. No advance registration is needed, people will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals must bring a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all relevant tax information with them.

 

Southeast Movie Night

Join us for a lively discussion of the book, along with a dessert assortment and refreshments.

 

FOLSE Community Conversations with Chef Warren Caterson

Join local chef and cookbook author, Warren Caterson, as he shares dozens of kitchen tips, cooking hints, and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking for two. Chef Caterson will end the presentation with a cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy entrée that anyone can replicate in their own home. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

 

Teen Makerspace

Join us for the latest in our Teen Makerspace series and create some rad tie-dye looks! Bring your own 100% cotton items or use materials provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library. Make sure to wear something old!

Art for Tots!

Come into our Art Lab for projects perfectly fit for little hands, accompanied by a story. Art history can be explored at any age! This program is designed for toddlers and little ones and sponsored by the State of the Arts grant from the St. Johns Cultural Council.

 

Teen Survival Cooking

Put together some delicious treats as you learn the art of cooking. We're taste-testing everything, so come hungry! Teens (ages 11-18) are welcome to this program, sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library. Please call the library at 827-6900 to register for this free program.
