This new group, led by Irene Flynn, is ideal for those interested in initial instruction as well as those looking for a group to sit with in a peaceful setting. Chairs are available for those who are not able to floor sit; otherwise, please bring your own cushion.

 

Restore and Flow Yoga

yogaAre you interested in an activity that connects the mind and body? Yoga instructor, Kim McWilliams, guides participants through yoga today at 12:30pm and all are welcome to join. Her classical yoga style focuses on proper alignment and core strength, with a focus on safety. We encourage you to bring your own water and yoga mat or towel to use during this free one-hour class. Note: it is advised to not practice yoga with a full stomach.

 

 

Sensory Stations for Littles

POP Con: A Library Popular Culture Convention

Come in for our first annual library popular culture convention! Celebrate comics, graphic novels, superheroes, and more when you take part in panels, learn about cosplay & comics, play video games, watch movies, and do lots of crafts. It's a family affair for ALL ages! A Children's Book Week Event.

Teen Cooking: National Hamburger Month

Come learn how to make beef and vegetarian burgers with a toppings bar, sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library. Teen Gaming Club

Teens are invited to the Southeast Library to play our new Wii U, provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library! Bring your preferred controllers (optional) and have fun gaming on the big screen!

 

Art for Tots!

Come into our Art Lab for projects perfectly fit for little hands, accompanied by a story. Art history can be explored at any age! This program is designed for toddlers and little ones and sponsored by the State of the Arts grant from the St. Johns Cultural Council.

 

Kids STEM Club with Sylvan Learning Center

Saturday, May 23 @ 2pm

Science GirlScience, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. We do it all in Southeast's brand new STEM Club. Kids in grades 2 to 5 are invited to join special guests from the Sylvan Learning Center to learn about robotics--then create your own! Space is limited, please call the library at 827-6900 to register for this free program.

 

 

Read to Rover
