Discover the history and present-day happenings of life in a Victorian castle as we watch a documentary on Highclere Castle, the place that inspired the BBC drama series Downton Abbey, which is shot on location at the Castle. Reality is even more impressive than the fictitious show, as the lord who married a rich wife to avoid bankruptcy also funded the archaeological dig which unearthed Tutankhamun's fabulous treasure. Afterward, we will watch the pilot for BBC's acclaimed series, Downton Abbey. Light snacks will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.
