To celebrate Teen Read Week, we will be showing the latest adaptation of this F. Scott Fitzgerald classic. See the pages of the book come alive in this new-release feature, which is rated PG-13. Trick or treat…NOT! Teens and tweens (Ages 11-18) are invited to spend the spookiest night of the year playing a game of pranks and treats-gone-wrong. Will you be fated to eat chocolate covered creepy crawlies? Or will it fall to you to mummify your best friend in toilet paper? Enter our pumpkin carving contest. Teens and tweens (Ages 11-18) are invited to join us for an autumn afternoon of pumpkin art and hot chocolate. Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories...anything. We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others. Bring your sketchbooks, journals, and your own coffee mug and we'll fill it with decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.
This month, learn how to make your own mini-movies with Animoto. You may bring your own iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or smartphone, but it is not required.

Teens and tweens (Ages 11-18) are invited to submit original photographs that are dark, literally or figuratively. Snap a photo of a lightning bolt against a black night sky or of the whispy white shadow that creeps about your "haunted" house. An entry form, available at the library or by clicking here, must be attached to each entry. The winner will be announced on October 31st at the Teen/Tween Fear the Library program. Prizes will be awarded, thanks to the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Teens (Ages 13 - 18) are invited celebrate Halloween at the library with your friends and partake of pizza, sodas, candy, "Bowling for Books" on our PlayStation3, music, crafts, and more. Costumes are encouraged, but not required, and for those teens dressed in costume, you'll be entered into a raffle for a copy of Allegiant, the final book in the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. This party is hosted by our library's Teen Advisory Board and is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and First Southern Bank in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The Friends of the Bartram Trail Library offers ACT and SAT prep classes beginning Monday, February 3. The SAT 5-class series meets at 5pm and the ACT 5-class series meets at 6:30pm on February 3, 10, 24, and March 3; with practice tests for both classes on March 10 at 5pm.
