Teen Gaming Night

Teens (Ages 13-18) are invited to have fun with friends at the library. Play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), our new Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo Wii, or X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Snacks are provided. This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and our friends at Sony. Call the library at 827-6950 for more details.

 

ACT/SAT Prep Classes

Monday, March 31 @ 5pm and 6:30pm

ACT/SAT Prep CLassThe Friends of the Bartram Trail Library offers ACT and SAT prep classes beginning Monday, March 31. The ACT 5-class series meets at 5pm and the SAT 5-class series meets at 6:30pm on March 31 and April 7, 14, and 21; with practice tests for both classes on April 28 at 5pm. For questions and to register, email folbtl@gmail.com. Please provide the student's name, grade, and specify which exam: ACT or SAT.

 

Teen Epic Movie Event

(PG13) Come see the second part in the epic tale of Bilbo Baggins. The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring. Light snacks will be provided by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

 

Knit Wits Knitting Club for Kids & Teens

Coin Club for Kids

Hey kids, have you been thinking about starting a coin collection? Then you'll want to come to the "Introduction to Coin Collecting for Kids" program presented by the Greater Jacksonville Coin Club. You'll learn about the history of U.S. coins, how they are made, where the mints are located, and get to see coins like half cents, Flying Eagles, Indian Head cents, half dimes, half dollars, and many more. Teen Book Club

A page-turner for readers of all tastes, Lexicon: A Novel by Max Barry is part sci-fi, thriller, and romance, with a little humor thrown in. It's also a winner of the 2014 Alex Award for adult books with crossover appeal for young adults, ages 12 through 18. Join us for snacks and discussion. Teen Tech Week Event: Teen Digital Video Production Workshop

Teens, please join Stan Cottle, director of In Search of Me Café, for a digital video production workshop using smartphones and tablets as your primary cameras. Also included are overviews of editing tools and techniques, GoPro and DSLR cameras, YouTube, Instagram, Vine, and more.
