Celebrate Teen Literature Day: Book Talks

Attention teens: We are seeking Book Talks that celebrate teen literature to post on the Southeast Blog. Book Talks may be no more than 30 seconds and must be about a teen book. Fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels are all acceptable. Book Talks need to be submitted to Miss Kristine or Miss Alex by Thursday, April 17. Earth Day Nature Film

In honor of Earth Day, children, teens, and families are invited to view a film about an adorable baby chimp named Oscar and his entertaining approach to life in a remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph. This film is rated G. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

 

Money Smart Week: Teen Coffeehouse

Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories... anything. We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others. Bring your sketchbooks, journals, and your own coffee mug and we'll fill it with decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Celebrate Money Smart Week with a little lesson on Dollars and Sense.

 

 

April Fools' Mug Cakes for Teens

Anime Club

Do you love watching anime or reading manga? Teens are invited to the monthly meeting of our anime club, where you can meet others with similar interests. Feel free to wear a costume if you'd like.

 

Movie Release Party

Teens and tweens are invited to celebrate the release of the 2nd installment of the popular Hunger Games series with food, prizes, and a showing of the film. This film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, some frightening images, thematic elements, a suggestive situation, and language.  This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.


Teen Tech Week: It's Electric

Learn how to solder small electronics with Mr. Aaron from the Palm Coast Radio Shack. Teens, (Age 13+) are invited to participate and use the soldering iron under supervision.
