Teen Read Week Event: Zentangle

Teens, would you like to learn a new and relaxing way to create beautiful art? Join instructor Joan Delony at the Bartram Trail  Library for a Zentangle Class. Class size is limited, please call 827-6960 to register. The class is free and all materials are provided by the Friends of the Library.

 

American Sign Language Extravaganza

Teen Tutoring for Kids

Kids (grades K-6) can come into the Anastasia Library for one on one tutoring sessions in reading or math with National Honors Students from Pedro Menendez High School.  The tutoring is FREE to all students but you need to call to sign up as space is limited.  Call 209-3730 or come by the Anastasia Library Service Desk to sign up.

Have you been looking for something to read after Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus or the Kane Chronicles? Are you counting down the days for the release of Rick Riordan's newest series, Magnus Chase? Teens (Grades 6-8) can sign up for our newest book club!  We will be reading Rick Riordan's The Sword of Summer for our book club meetings.  Space is limited, so please call 209-3730 to reserve your spot!

 

Trick-or-Treat ALL Day

Kids of all ages can come into the library to receive a special treat on Halloween between 10am and 5pm!  You are never too old to let someone Treat you! *Treats are generously provided by the Friends of the Library.

 

Teen Financial Literacy Workshop

Teen Financial Literacy Saturday, October 17 @ 10am to 3pm

Are you starting your first job? Are you graduating from high school soon? Are you about to head off to college? Whatever the reason, every teen needs to learn how to manage money. The St. Johns River Chapter of the FICPA , and the St. Johns County Public Library are teaming up to help teens.
Subjects covered will include Careers and Income, Spending Wisely, Saving and Investing, Credit Cards and Debit Cards, How to Buy a Car,  How to Pay for College and more.  Lunch will be provided.  Please call 209-3730 to register, class size is limited.

 

Teen Volunteer Orientation

Black Light Science Party for Kids & Teens

Saturday, September 26 @ 1pm

We’ll make water glow, create invisible messages, learn about creatures that glow, and practice being a crime scene investigator by following a trail of secret clues. Come phosphoresce with us!
