Attention teens: We are seeking Book Talks that celebrate teen literature to post on the Southeast Blog. Book Talks may be no more than 30 seconds and must be about a teen book. Fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels are all acceptable. Book Talks need to be submitted to Miss Kristine or Miss Alex by Thursday, April 17. Call the library at 827-6900 for more information.

Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories... anything. We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others. Bring your sketchbooks, journals, and your own coffee mug and we'll fill it with decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Teen books have gained popularity over the years and now many teen series and titles - The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars, Twilight, Percy Jackson, and so many more - are as beloved by adults as they are by teens. Check one (or several!) of these books out and find out what the fuss is about.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, tweens in 4th-7th grades are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too. We love our tweens and that they use our library - happy National Library Week.

Hobbit-related prizes will be raffled and pizza and sodas will be served thanks to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. Hey kids, have you been thinking about starting a coin collection? Then you'll want to come to the "Introduction to Coin Collecting for Kids" program presented by the Greater Jacksonville Coin Club. You'll learn about the history of U.S. coins, how they are made, where the mints are located, and get to see coins like half cents, Flying Eagles, Indian Head cents, half dimes, half dollars, and many more. Family Board Game NightFamily Game Time: Ponte Vedra

Every 4th Wednesday of the month, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and many more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games - including our new ones (Trivial Pursuit Family Edition, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Don't Drop the Egg, Super Mario Brothers Checkers, and Apples to Apples Disney Edition) are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

(PG13) Come see the second part in the epic tale of Bilbo Baggins. The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring. Light snacks will be provided by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

Grab a group of friends and get moving. You must be between the ages of 11 and 18 and sign in at the Youth Services desk at Southeast with your valid library card or photo ID to gain access to our fantastic gaming galaxy.
