J.A.A.M. (Japanese Anime At Main)

Tweens, teens, and young twenty-somethings are invited to the monthly meeting of our anime club, where you can meet others with similar interests. Feel free to wear a costume if you’d like and come "JAAM" with us. This month we'll celebrate our 2 year anniversary with special treats and a re-showing of the anime from our very first meeting.
Family Game Time
Wednesday, May 22 @3pm
On the 4th Wednesday of every month between 3pm - 6pm, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out a board game or two and play anywhere in the library. Challenge your family and friends to your favorite games. LEGO Club for Tweens
Wednesday, May 15 from 4 - 5pm
Tweens in 4th - 7th grades are invited to come to the library and bring your friends for an afternoon of fun building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club.
Teen Advisory Board
Tuesday, May 14 from 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Teens ages 13 - 18 are invited to join our Teen Advisory Board and have a say in the materials we order for teens, the teen programs we offer, and much more at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. Participation in the Teen Advisory Board counts as service hours and snacks will be served provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. Join us for our meeting and get involved.
Teen Gaming Night
Wednesday, May 1 from 5 - 7pm
All 13 - 18 year-olds are invited to have fun with your friends at the library and play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), Nintendo Wii, and X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Money Wi$e Week: Teen Coffeehouse - The Art of Saving

Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars. Come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories...anything. We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others. Don't forget to bring your mug - hot chocolate, apple cider, and tea will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.
Celebrate Money Wi$e Week with guest host Steve Shanholtzer, who will let you in on the secrets of cash, credit, and earning a living as an artist (or in his case, a musician).
Teen Volunteer Orientation

Get Caught Reading (All Month Long)
Wednesday, May 29 @ 10am
May is Get Caught Reading month. Children and teens “caught” reading in the library, and elsewhere any time throughout the month of May, will receive a ticket to be entered into a weekly raffle. See a child or teen reading? Snap a picture and bring it to the library. Entrants will also have their pictures taken and posted on the bulletin board if they like. This annual national campaign is supported by the Association of American Publishers.
