Construction begins on the parking lots of the Main Branch

Parking impact

As part of the FDOT project to modify the traffic routes of the May Street and San Marco Avenue intersection, the City of St. Augustine has begun construction on the parking lots of the Main Branch.

Patrons are advised that there will be reduced parking availability and changes in traffic flow within the Main Branch’s front and rear parking lots. Construction is expected to impact library parking for several months and work will occur Monday through Saturday. As work continues, the library will make every effort to post the most current information on in-house signage and online at

Library patrons may wish to use our Southeast or Anastasia Island libraries.

Programming impact

In an effort to continue to provide services during this construction phase, beginning March 14, children’s storytimes will be moved to the Muscovy Room of the Health and Human Services Building, 200 San Sebastian View. On Tuesday mornings, Babytime will begin at 10:00 a.m. and Family Storytime at 11:00 a.m. There will be no storytimes on Thursday mornings.
