Anastasia Island and Its Special Birds: Migrating Birds

BirdsSaturday, February 18 @ 2 pm
A key location on the Atlantic Flyway, Florida is a major site for migrating birds.  Many, including songbirds, waterbirds, birds of prey, stop in our state at some point on their migration.  Some nest here, some spend the winter with us, some just stop for a few hours or days. Join us to learn more about the migrating birds you are likely to see in your yard and the parks near your home. We will discuss where they come from, how they find their way, their migration routes, the dangers they face along the way, and how each of us can help migrating birds survive their long journeys.  Presented by Monique Borboen, the Audubon Society's Science and Policy Associate for northeast Florida.
