William Bartram Meeting Room: This is our largest meeting room and has been approved by the Fire Marshall to hold 56 people. We have stacking chairs and folding tables for this room and it allows the greatest seating arrangement flexibility of the two rooms. This room does have a sink and is the preferred room if you plan on serving food (after you’ve received the Branch Manager’s approval to serve food). We use this room for our story-times, so it’s perfectly suited if your group has little people and messy crafts. We do also have short tables and chairs available for younger kids. If your group will be using more than one laptop, we cannot guarantee wireless access in this room. This room also features a projector screen.
Manatee Meeting Room: This is the smaller meeting room in the new addition closest to the Reference Desk. It has been approved by the Fire Marshall to hold 42 people. This room is known for the comfortable padded chairs and the solid conference table. The conference table can be reconfigured into 10 smaller tables for a classroom setting. This room has a white board and a projector screen. There is no problem with wireless internet access in this room. The carpet in this room is in fabulous shape, so we do ask that if you are going to be serving beverages (after receiving Branch Manager approval), you avoid darker liquids like red or purple kool-aid and be very careful with coffee.
Equipment available: We have some electronic equipment available for your meetings! Please indicate on the application what you would like to use. You can also contact us at a later date if you’d like to schedule equipment use after you’ve booked the room.
